Dumbarton Oaks Park was opened to the public on April 12th, 1941 on the anniversary of Mildred and Robert Bliss and the donors of the Park. This wonderful, secluded, designed Parkland is found between Massachusetts and Wisconsin Avenues and between the Naval Observatory. Wander down Lovers’ Lane on ‘R St’ NW to discover a true wilderness in the city with a stream with 18 built waterfalls and large open and woody spaces. The Park is currently unfolding the glories of spring and you will come back often to discover the next exciting wonder.
