Recognition for the Conservancy
At its Annual Meeting in May 2019, the Citizens Association of Georgetown honored the Conservancy with the William A. Cochran Award for, “exceptional efforts to protect and enhance the community’s parkland and architectural resources.” In June 2019 the Conservancy was recognized by the Catalogue for Philanthropy for being “one of the best small nonprofits in the region” in the Catalogue’s 2019-2020 class of awardees. The Conservancy is grateful to the Citizens Association of Georgetown for recognizing how the Conservancy contributes to the quality of life in Georgetown, and for the Catalogue’s encouragement of donors in the National Capitol Region to support the Conservancy’s mission to restore, promote, and maintain Dumbarton Oaks Park.
